January 2023 Character Creation Challenge – Part 26

Last Thursday of the month means the last Mörk Borg character. This week the grimy little monster creator threw up Birgit, the Fanged Deserter.

As ever, no plan going in, just rolling and seeing what I got. And what I got was an absolute tank by Mörk Borg standards. Ok, her toughness is low but a max HP roll gave us 9HP which is pretty damn beefy for this game.

After rolling up four characters I’m happy with what I can do with the character generation in this, and would be happy to play anything it came up with in a short game.

January 2023 Character Creation Challenge – Part 5

And on to the first THVRSDAY of the month, and I’m trying out a new (to me) game again. This time it’s MÖRK BORG (yes the all caps is neccessary). This gives us Isak, classless reprobate.

I probably wouldn’t have been able to do this without the free plain text version of the rules releases last year, as the main rulebook could give me a migraine.

Honestly not much thought went into this one as it was an experiment with random character generation in a game I’m not familiar with. The char-gen itself is incredibly easy, which for a game where characters are treated as pretty much disposable makes a lot of sense.

And whilst simple, some of the description prompts are great cues for role playing.

In future entries for this one I’ll experiment with the optional class rules.
